Gburugburu succumbs to Senator Ayogu Eze in Enugu.

It was a bad day for governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and his supporters at the Akanu Ibiam international airport Enugu. Ugwuanyi and his co NRASHI EKA went to receive the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osibanjo. On arrival, Ugwuanyi wanted to takeover on the red carpet arranged for the VP, but, Senator Ayogu Eze, whom the Vice president has come to commission his campaign office insisted that it is not about who is the governor, but what the Vice president has come to do in Enugu. So, it was a failure for Gburugburu as he could not join Vice president in the same SUV, as the Vice President asked APC governorship candidate, senator Ayogu Eze to join him. One could read frustration from Ugwuanyi and his supporters’ faces as Ugwuanyi went for the last struggle, that the Vice president should go to the government house before going for the opening of Ayogu Eze’s campaign office. And Ayogu Eze still won as everybody drove straight to Ayogu Eze campaign office, except Ugwuanyi and his Okada ridders who sneaked out of the convoy at Ogui roundabout.

The humiliation of Ugwuanyi didn’t end with Ayogu Eze, both Ayogu Eze and gburugburu were at the book presentation ( ÀN HONOUR TO SERVE ) by the formal governor of Enugu state, Bar. Sullivan chime. The reviewer of the book Mr Chidi Onyia described the author as the best and wished they could have such again in Enugu state. He said that Sullivan, unlike what we have now, thought and still thinks of the future, while some are after their next elections without anything on ground to warrant a reelection. It was a big shock to everybody at shoprite, the venue of the occasion as Ugwuanyi as usual ran away from making any speech to avoid further embarrassment before the Visiting Vice President. Chief Jim Nwobodo, while closing his remarks, said that he is the father of the state and asked both Ayogu Eze and gburugburu to come and hug themselves and it was done by both.
